I like your earlier one a bit better. The exploration in this new one is classy my man, but I miss the subtle drop shadow that the circles gave off before. Plus, I am getting an underwater light show from the highlight circles and it is throwing me off a bit. Beautiful layout overall.
I'm still unsure how to highlite the days of the week. I tried circles around the dates but it looks silly.
