Ornamental typography!

This ornamental typography caught my eye with its elegant and fantastical style. I notice that when observed up close, it becomes less legible as a letterform, and is seen as more of an illustration. However, when viewed from more of a distance, it becomes fully legible as a letterform. This inspired me to research more 18th century typographic styles, and maybe even try to create my own illustrated letterforms.
